The refusal to listen to the TRUE prophets sent by God caused disaster for God's people in the Old Testament era. On the other hand, the inclination to listen to FALSE prophets also resulted in national crisis (divisions and exile).

These true prophets warned the Israelites to listen to Moses and the laws given - The Torah (Genesis to Deuteronomy). This Moses "was faithful in all God's house" (Heb 3:5). As far as the greatness of Moses is concerned, there was "none like him" (Deut 34:11).

REFLECTION: If rejection of Moses and his laws spelled disaster, what about those who reject Jesus, who "has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses"? (Heb 3:3).

APPLICATION: If God has been speaking to you through the Bible text, remember the verse in Heb 3:7-11, "do not harden your hearts".

REFLECTION: Check ourselves, "Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God" (Heb 3:12).

在旧约时代，神的子民若不愿意听从真先知的话，将遭到神所降下的灾难。另一方面，听信假先知的话也导致了国家危机（分裂和流亡）。

这些真先知告诫以色列人要听从摩西的话和遵守律法--律法书(创世记到申命记)。这个摩西“在神的全家尽忠”(来3:5)。论摩西的大而可畏，再“没有像摩西一样的”(申34:10)。

反省：如果拒绝摩西和他的律法会带来灾难，那么那些拒绝“比摩西配得更大的荣耀” 的耶稣的人，又当如何呢？(来3:3)

应用：如果神透过圣经经文对我说话，那么谨记希伯来3:7-11的经节，“不要硬着心”。

反省：审察自己，“弟兄们，你们要小心，免得你们中间有人存着邪恶、不信的心，以致离弃了永活的神”(来3:12)。
