Posture of Matt 1-28: Proving to the Jews that Jesus is their Messiah.

REFLECTION on Chapter 1: God, I see that you are the one who keeps your promises. The promises that you made to Abraham and David. That ALL nations would be blessed through Abraham (Gen 12:3). That David will ALWAYS have a king sitting on his throne.

REFLECTION: Whose positive influence for the nations is as great as Abraham's? Whose kingdom will last forever (2Sam 7:12-13)? David's?

Matt 1:1 gives us the answer: Jesus - SON of David, SON of Abraham. He is the one! Thank God. God had to work through frail humans to bring about His promises (Matt 1:1-17). But Jesus' birth is supernatural (1:18-25), not hindered by cultural taboos (the virgin birth).

APPLICATION: Jesus is the one they and you have been waiting for, the anointed one (Messiah). Worship and serve Him! Let God use you to bring about the promises that He gave in the Holy Scriptures! Are you willing?

Make your commitment today as we renew our service attitude and commitment, to be outward looking and incorporate others into this blessed promise given to Abraham, and those who come after him.

马太福音1-28章的概论：向犹太人证明耶稣就是他们的弥赛亚。

第一章的反思：神阿，我知道你是那守信用的神。你给亚伯拉罕和大卫的应许你都兑现了。列国必因亚伯拉罕而被祝福(创12:3)。大卫必永远有王坐在他宝座上。

反思：有谁对列国的正面影响力比亚伯拉罕来得大？谁的国度会到永久(撒下7:12-13)?是大卫的国度吗？

马太福音1章1节给了我们答案：耶稣--大卫之子，亚伯拉罕的儿子。就是他！感谢神。神必须透过脆弱的人类来实现祂的应许(太1:1-17)。但耶稣的诞生是超自然的(太1:18-25)，是不受世俗的禁忌的约束的(由童真女所生)。

应用：耶稣是他们和你所等待的人，祂是那被膏的(弥赛亚)。敬拜祂、事奉祂！让神通过你应验祂在圣经里给予我们的应许！你愿意吗？

今天，当我们更新事奉态度和委身时，请立志，向外看，将他人纳入这个赐福给亚伯拉罕和他之后的人的应许中。让我们以同样的活力和动力委身其中，向外看并把他人纳入在神给予亚伯兰和在他之后的人福气的应许里。
