The empty tomb is a hallmark of Christianity. Some come to church for social, psychological or even business needs. These needs do exist and are sometimes met by participation in some of the church's ongoing activities.

REFLECTION: However, what is your focus in church these days? Does it have anything to do with the empty tomb and its implications?

"But when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus" (Luke 24:3), because He had predicted that He would "on the third day rise" (Luke 24:7). The empty tomb reminds us of the power of Jesus over death, a central theme of the church's message. We follow a Master who is alive. We need not fear death nor life any more.

Believers need not fear social alienation because Jesus is there with us. We need not fear business failure because our LORD has overcome more terrible things—death.

APPLICATION: Remember Jesus' resurrection power and victory over death in your life today "with great joy" (Luke 24:52). Do not allow dark shadows to recapture your minds.

空荡荡的墓是基督教的特点。有些人来教会是为了社交、心理或甚至是生意上的需求。这些需求确实存在着，而且在某些教会的活动中确实能够满足这些需求。

反思：然而，你现在在教会的焦点是什么？是否与这空荡荡的陵墓和其含义有关？

他们“就进去，却找不着主耶稣的身体”(路24:3)，因为祂已预言祂将“第三日复活”(路24:7)。空荡的坟墓提醒我们耶稣的大能已胜过死亡，这也是教会的信息的中心主题。我们跟随的是一个活着的主。我们再也无须害怕死亡或生命。

信徒无须害怕社会的隔绝因为耶稣与我们同在。我们无须害怕生意失败因为我们的主已胜过最可怕的事情——死亡。

应用：今天在你的生命中，“欢欢喜喜”地记住耶稣复活的大能和对死亡的胜利(路24:52)。不要让阴影占据你的心思意念。
