QT 07/03/2024 Thursday READ Luke 12. For or against the Mighty One? 畏惧还是不畏惧？

The kingdom of God has come upon the listeners (Luke 11:20). This kingdom's values frequently are in direct opposite to the world's.
Luke 12 reminds followers of this kingdom when they are "to fear" and when they "do not fear".
DO NOT FEAR
Followers should not fear the one who does not have the final authority to give the final judgment of history and what to do with those who reject God outright (Luke 12:4-7).
Do not fear those who merely "kill the body, and after that have NOTHING MORE that they can do" (Luke 12:4).
Do not fear "how you should defend yourself or what you should say" when being accused before "synagogues and the rulers and the authorities" (Luke 12:11). The Holy Spirit "will teach you" there and then (Luke 12:12).
Do not be paralysed by the fear of the loss of inheritance (Luke 12:13-21) nor being overly "anxious about your life" and its necessities (Luke 12:22-34).
DO FEAR
a. Followers must "beware of the leaven of the Pharisees" (Luke 12:1), in case the followers get unwittingly blinded and get drawn into hypocrisy.
b. Fear the possibility that a follower "denies me before men" (Luke 12:9), the consequence of which is that the follower "will be denied before the angels of God" (Luke 12:9).
c. May the fear of the Son of Man "coming at an hour you do not expect" (Luke 12:40) remind you to be ever ready as "the faithful and wise manager" (Luke 12:42) waiting for the full manifestation of the kingdom of God, in heaven and on earth.

神的国度已临到听的人(路11:20)。这个国度的价值观往往和这个世界的价值观是相反。
路加提醒这个国度的跟随者他们什么时候应该“害怕”，什么时候“不要害怕”。
不要怕
跟随者不应该怕那没有权对历史作出最后审判的人，也不应该怕那些公然拒绝神的人(路12:4-7)。
不要怕“那杀身体以后不能再作什么的”(路12:4)。
不要怕“要思虑怎样申辩或说什么话”，当人们把你“拉到会堂、官长和当权者的面前”指证你的时候(路12:11)。到了时候，圣灵必把当说的话“教导你们”。(路12:12)
不要因为害怕失去产业就瘫痪(路12:13-21)，也不要过于“忧虑自己的生命”和日常所需(路12:22-34)。
要怕
a. 跟随者必须“提防法利赛人的酵”(路12:1)，以防被盲目地卷入虚伪里面。
b. 必须担心的是“在人面前不认我的”(路12:9)，因为后果将是耶稣在“神的使者面前也不认”这跟随者(路12:9)。
c. “在想不到的时候，人子就来了”(路12:40)，愿这成为你的提醒，要预备好如“那忠心精明的管家”(路12:42)，等候神国度的完全彰显、在天上和在地上。
