In one breath, Peter compacted so much of God's past revelations to His people. Peter's response surprised the people regarding the healing of the man who was lame from birth (Acts 3:2):-

Peter now has the same healing powers as Jesus. He commanded the lame man to walk (Acts 3:6). The people responded with amazement (Acts 3:10);

The God of their ancestors (patriarchs) "The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob" was mentioned by the same Old Testament formula (Acts 3:13);

Jesus' trial and death are now recalled (Acts 3:13-15). So was His resurrection (Acts 3:15), in fulfillment of prophecy (Acts 3:18).

It also fulfilled the prophecy of Moses regarding another prophet like Moses (Acts 3:22). ALL the prophets starting from Samuel "proclaimed these days" (Acts 3:24);

God's undying covenant with His people was reinforced (Acts 3:25). The blessings given to Abram in Gen 12:1-3 for "all families of the earth" were possible now through the work of Jesus' disciples (Acts 3:25);

The return of God's people to God as a result of His Servant's work was now available to the Israelites (Acts 3:17,26).

APPLICATION: View the things that are going on in your life NOW with as much insight of God's Word relating to the PAST as Peter did in Acts 3, especially in regards to Jesus life, death and resurrection, and their implications for us today.

彼得一口气把神过去启示祂子民的事情都紧密结合起来。对于一个生来瘸腿的人得医治(徒3:2)这件事，彼得的回应令人们感到惊讶：-

彼得现在已具有像耶稣一样的医治能力。他命令瘸子行走(徒3:6)。人们对于这件事都满心稀奇，惊讶不已(徒3:10)；

祖宗的神(始祖)，“亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的　神”都在同一部旧约里被提及(徒3:13)；

耶稣的审判和死亡都被提起(徒3:13-15)。也提到了祂的复活(徒3:15)，以应证了所预言的(徒3:18)。

它也应证了摩西所预言的，会有另一个如摩西的先知出现(徒3:22)。所有从撒母耳起的先知都“宣告这些日子”(徒3:24);

神与祂子民所立的永远的约有再次被强调(徒3：25)。在创12:1-3里，赐给亚伯拉罕的福气,已能够藉着耶稣门徒的工作传遍“地上万族”(徒3:25);

神的子民因仆人的工作归回神，现在也在以色列人当中做工(徒3:17,26)。

应用：以神的话语所带给你的有关过去神的启示，正视你的生活，像彼得在使徒行传3章那样，尤其是与耶稣的生命、死亡和复活有关，以及对我们今天的影响。
