The sheer impossibility of the real Christian falling away means that the readers of Hebrew have got only one way left—to move forward, commit to Jesus Christ and grow  in maturity (Heb 6:1). Hebrews 6 has various interpretations, but that's for another time.

The writer, however, is "convinced of better things in your case - the things that have to do with salvation" (Heb 6:9). The writer himself exhorts the readers to move forward instead of being stagnant.

The readers of Hebrew have obtained salvation but the writer exhorts them to "continue" in their "good works" and to "love" with diligence (Heb 6:9).

APPLICATION: Trust God, who has "confirmed it with an oath" (Heb 6:17) to bless Abraham and all those who "take hold of the hope set before us" (Heb 6:18).

No turning back, brothers and sisters! No turning back. The path of Jesus Christ is reliable and worthy of your full commitment because Jesus "has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek" (Heb 6:20), the one with "an indestructible life" (Heb 7:16).

真正的基督徒绝对不会离弃信仰，这意味着希伯来书的读者只有一条路可走 -- 向前进！委身于耶稣基督，并努力进到成熟的地步(来6:1)。希伯来6章有好几种解读，但留待下次再说。

作者，却“深信你们有更好的表现，结局就是得救”(来6:9)。作者本身呼吁读者要向前行而不是裹足不前。

希伯来书的读者已得到了救恩，但作者呼吁他们要“继续”他们的“善行”并热诚地表现“爱心”(来6:9)。

应用：相信神，祂已“用起誓作保证”(来6:17)，要祝福亚伯拉罕和那些“抓紧那摆在我们面前的盼望”的人(来6:18)。

没回头路了，弟兄姐妹！没得回头了。耶稣基督的道路是可靠的并切值得你全力去委身的，因为耶稣已“照着麦基洗德的体系，成了永远的大祭司”(来6:20),他有“不能毁坏的生命”(来7:16)。
