MEDITATION: A basic outline of the book consists of :-

1. Narratives (Dan 1-6); and
2. Visions (Dan 7-12).

The narratives (of 6 episodes) display God's sovereignty over people, events and nations. The visions assure His people that God will ultimately triumph over all the powers and authorities of the world. His worshipers would be rewarded in that final kingdom (Dan 7:26-27).

REFLECTION: Are we living our lives with that ASSURANCE of God's victorious kingdom in mind? Are we expressing that kingdom in our lifestyles today?

God's ability to enable Daniel to describe and interpret King Nebuchadnezzar's dream (Dan 2:14-19) relating to national and international events displayed God's sovereignty over all. Even the king understood that. Thus he "fell upon his face" and testified that "Truly, your God is God of gods and Lord of kings.." (Dan 2:46-47).

APPLICATION: Do attend worship services faithfully at the church that the LORD has called you to, to belong to. Start with that small step and pray that His kingdom rule would rule in our lives today, and forever.

历史记叙(6篇)展现了神是人民、事件和列国的主宰。那些异象向祂的子民承诺神最终必定会战胜这世上所有的权力和权柄。祂的信徒也会在那最后的国度得到奖赏(但7:26-27)。

反思：我们心中是否有神得胜的国度的承诺并因着这样的承诺过生活？我们的生活方式是否也表现出这样的国度？

神把尼布甲尼撒王的梦的意义指示但以理(但2:14-19)，那是关于国与国之间的事，这在在地显示了神的掌权。就连国王也明白这点。所以他“俯伏在地”并对但以理说：“你们的神真是万神之神，万王之王…”(但2:46-47)。

应用：诚心地出席主日崇拜聚会，在神呼召你所属的教会。一步一脚印，祈求祂国度掌管我们的人生，从今时直到永远。
