The power of the promised Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8) was now visibly and undeniably demonstrated in the healing of the man lame from birth (Acts 3:1-10).

Even though Peter and John were arrested (Acts 4:3), up to 5000 who heard the word believed (Acts 4:4).

Believers were "filled" with the Holy Spirit, enabling them to witness effectively and boldly (Acts 4:8-12,13). The transformation power of the gospel was evidenced by the irrefutable sights of the man "who was healed standing beside them" (Acts 4:14).

Nevertheless, note that believers are NOT "possessed" by the Holy Spirit where the person possessed loses his normal cognitive function. On the contrary, believers are "filled" with the Holy Spirit, who enhances their effectiveness to witness for the LORD.

APPLICATION: Ask God for boldness (Acts 4:29,31) and for obedient transformation (Acts 4:30) in our lives and in the lives of those we interact with, so that the blessings to Abraham could be ministered to others. Expect God to do wonders--He did and He would.

Do not let "threats" (Acts 4:29), imprisonment (Acts 4:3) nor trials (Acts 4:7) surprise you because these were expected of the "Anointed" and His followers (Acts 4:25-26, Psa 2:1-2).

圣灵的大能(徒1:8)很清楚而且无可否认地，医治了生来就瘸腿的那个人(徒3:1-10)。

虽然彼得和约翰都被捕了(徒4:3)，约有5000人听了道信了(徒4:4)。

信徒“充满”了圣灵，让他们有效地、有胆量地作见证(徒4:8-12,13)。福音转变人的大能，显明在“和他们一同站着”就得着医治的人身上(徒4:14)。

尽管这样，要知道信徒并不是被圣灵“附体”，以致那人失去他正常的思维功能。相反的，信徒都被圣灵“充满”，加强了为主作见证的果效。

应用：求神给我们胆量(徒4:29,31)和顺服的改变(徒4:30)在我们的生活中也在与我们接触的人当中，以致在亚伯拉罕身上的祝福也能流到别人身上。相信神能够行奇妙的事---祂行了且会再行。

不要惊讶于“恐吓”(徒4:29)、牢狱(徒4:3)或审问(徒4:7)，因为这些都是那“受膏者”和祂的跟随者将会面对的(徒4:25-26,诗2:1-2)。
