What kind of resurrection?
John continued to write about the signs of Jesus and the eternal life that He gives to those who hear Jesus' words and believe the Father who sent Him (John 5:24).
In the conversation with the Jews, Jesus was persuading them to receive Him:-
The Jews set their hope on Moses, but Moses wrote about Jesus (John 5:45-46). Therefore, the Jews should believe Jesus. The SCRIPTURES "bear witness about me" (John 5:39).
John the Baptist, a publicly recognised PROPHET of those days, bore witness about Jesus (John 5:31-36). So did the Father (John 5:19-23,37).
Jesus' claim of equality with the Father (John 5:17-18) was backed up by the SIGN of healing the "invalid for thirty-eight years" (John 5:5,6-15). Because Jesus could perform restoration for the lame, He should be believed as being able to give life.
APPLICATION: Focus on learning about and accepting Jesus today. Avoid getting entangled with niceties about the law of Sabbath, etc (John 5:9-10) or ending up wanting to kill Jesus (John 5:18) while He was trying to save (John 5:17,20-21).
REFLECTION: Resurrection is certain. The only question is which one would we experience: "Resurrection of life" or "Resurrection of judgment" (John 5:28-29). Which is yours?
MEMORY VERSE: "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life" (John 5:24).

怎样的复活？
约翰继续描写耶稣所行的神迹和永生，祂赐永生给那些听祂的话且相信那差遣祂来的天父(约5:24)。
在与犹太人说话时，耶稣正在说服他们接受祂:-
犹太人寄望于摩西，但摩西却写到有关耶稣的事(约5:45-46)。所以，犹太人应该相信耶稣。圣经“为我作证”(约5:39)。
施洗约翰，当时一个大家公认的先知，为耶稣作证(约5:31-36)。父也为耶稣作证(约5:19-23,37)。
耶稣称自己与父同等位格(约5:17-18)，祂医治了一个“病了三十八年”的人(约5:5,6-15)，这个神迹印证了祂所说的。因为耶稣能够使瘸子恢复，我们也该相信祂能够给予生命。
应用:今天就专注在认识和接受耶稣。避免与安息日律法的细节等纠缠不清(约5:9-10)，也不要到最后想杀耶稣(约5:18)，而实际上祂是在做拯救的工作(约5:17,20-21)。
反思:复活是肯定的。问题是，我们会经历哪一个复活：是“复活得生命”还是“复活被定罪”(约5:28-29)?你的复活是哪一个?
背诵经文:我实实在在告诉你们，那听见我的话又信那差我来的，就有永生，不被定罪，而是已经出死入生了。(约5:24)。
