MEDITATION: Ezek 33-37 had promised the LORD's presence with His people after their discipline. Thereafter, Ezek 38-39 reminded listeners of God's supremacy over all of creation.
Beginning from Ezek 40, the LORD now gave Ezekiel another Temple vision, for him to "declare all that you see to the house of Israel" (Ezek 40:4).
Instead of showing Ezekiel the sins of the people that eventually drove the LORD from His temple (Ezek 9-11), the LORD now brought Ezekiel to tour the new temple that pointed to the future of God's presence with His people, once again (Ezek 40-42). The glory of the LORD thereby returns (Ezek 43:1-5).
In addition to showing Ezekiel the architecture (Ezek 40:5-16,17-19,20-43), the vision also portrayed renewed worship. Priesthood would function once again (Ezek 40:44-47), with more details of this renewed worship in Ezek 43:6-46:24.
APPLICATION: The perfect temple might still seem out of reach for us today, even as the rebuilt temple was far from that of Solomon's temple (Ezra 3:12-13). Nevertheless, the LORD promises beautiful things for those who faithfully worship Him in spirit and in truth, wherever they are. That attitude, at least, forms an essential component of the perfect temple, in whatever form it might take.
REFLECTION: The search for the perfect temple should start with searching our own hearts. What do you find there?

默想：以西结33-37应许神的子民在受管教之后，耶和华必与他们同在。过后，以西结38-39提醒听众神是宇宙万物的主宰。
从以西结书40章开始，耶和华给了以西结另一个圣殿的异象，让他宣告“你所看见的，你都要告诉以色列家”(结40:4)。
耶和华并没有让以西结看到以色列人的罪行把耶和华从祂的殿驱走(结9-11)，而是再次(结40-42)，把以西结带到新殿宇参观，那里正指向神与祂子民的同在的未来。耶和华的荣耀因此而重现(结43:1-5)。
耶和华让以西结看到整个建筑架构之外(结40:5-16,17-19,20-43)，那异象也出现了跟新了的敬拜。祭司的功能也再次恢复(结40:44-47)，在以西结43:6-46:24也记载了更多有关跟新后的敬拜的详情。
应用：今天，那完美的圣殿对我们而言似乎还是遥不可及的，尽管那重建好的圣殿与所罗门时的圣殿还是差很多(以斯拉3:12-13)。尽管如此，耶和华仍应许那些忠心以心灵和诚实敬拜他的人美好的事物，无论他们在何方。那样的态度，最起码，形成了一个完美圣殿的主要构成，无论它是以什么形式出现。
