QT 13/04/2025 Sun. Isaiah 45. Praise for the Creator.

Here the prophet mirrored to readers the surprise if the product questions the artisan/potter who made it regarding what he or she was doing.
Isaiah 45:9–10 [9] “Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’? [10] Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you begetting?’ or to a woman, ‘With what are you in labor?’” (ESV)
It is likely that in the daily lives of God’s people, there would also be times when we do not fully comprehend what was going on. At times the cause and effect was clear and understandable. At other times, these remained a mystery. What do we do?
Isaiah 45:12–13 [12] I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host. [13] I have stirred him up in righteousness, and I will make all his ways level; he shall build my city and set my exiles free, not for price or reward,” says the LORD of hosts. (ESV)
It would be helpful, in life’s ups and downs, to remember the God whom we worship. His sovereignty extends even over Cyrus (45:1) whom God had chosen to do His will.

[1] Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed: [2] “I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron, (ESV)
PRAYER: Oh God, who formed light and the earth and even created mankind on it, we seek your protection and guidance in all of life. When we fall short on faith, give us the strength to follow and continue assembling ourselves in your presence for worship. In the mysteries of life, we ask today that we find cheerfulness in our lives, that our lives can give you honour and glory. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

以赛亚书 45:1-2 “我耶和华所膏立的古列，我紧握着他的右手，使列国降服在他面前；我也松开列王的腰带；我使门户在他面前敞开，使城门不得关闭；耶和华对古列这样说：2 我必亲自领导你，把高低不平的路修平；铜门，我必打破；铁门，我必砍断。
祷告：哦神，创造了光和大地，甚至在其上创造了人类，我们在生活中寻求你的保护和指引。当我们信心不足时，求你赐给我们力量，让我们跟随你，继续在你面前聚集敬拜。在生命的奥秘中，我们今天祈求在我们的生命中找到喜乐，让我们的生命能给你带来荣誉和荣耀。奉主耶稣的名祷告。阿门。
