MEDITATION: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had to stand firm in the face of a cunning (Dan 3:12) and life threatening accusation (Dan 3:14-15).

They knew that only the LORD was entitled to the worship by "all the peoples, nations, and languages" rather than Nebuchadnezzar's golden image (Dan 3:7).

They trusted in the LORD's supremacy and deity even if they were NOT delivered from the furnace: "But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up" (Dan 3:18).

"No smell of fire had come upon them" (Dan 3:27) displayed the extent of God's protection when it was His will to deliver them on this occasion.

APPLICATION: Reject the false gods who could not even save their own worshipers (Dan 3:22). Stand firm in our loyal worship of the LORD, even if it costs us dearly. This we do because of WHO HE IS rather than WHAT HE GIVES.

默想：沙得拉、米煞和亚伯尼歌在面对诡诈(但3:12)和危及生命的指责(但3:14-15)时必须站稳。

他们知道唯有耶和华配得“各国、各族和说各种语言的人”崇拜，而不是那尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像(但3:7)。

他们信靠耶和华的主权和神性即使他们没有从烈火的窑中被拯救出来：“即或不然，王啊！你要知道，我们决不事奉你的神，也不向你所立的金像下拜”(但3:18)。

“他们身上没有火烧的气味”(但3:27)展现了神如何保护着他们，这是神在这种情况下拯救他们的旨意。

应用：弃绝那连自己的信徒都无法拯救的假神(但3:22)。忠心地敬拜耶和华、站稳脚步，即使要付出很高的代价。我们这样做因为祂是神而不是因为祂给了我们什么。
