To balance Romans 5 (law magnifies the trespass, sin contrasts God's grace), the Gentiles need to be reminded not to go off in the other direction. Paul now uses QUESTIONS to mark off the sections of Romans.

Question 1: "What shall we say then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?" (Rom 6:1). "BY NO MEANS! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?" (Rom 6:2)

Believers (whether Jews or Gentiles) are "united" further in this:-

All believers were "baptized into Christ Jesus" (6:3).

All believers were "baptized into his death" (6:3).

All believers were "buried therefore with him by baptism into death" (6:4).

All believers "will also live with him" (6:8).

APPLICATION: Let no sin attract you. "Count yourselves dead to sin" (6:11). But present yourselves to God our master because we "have been brought from death to life" (6:13).

Question 2: "What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!" (6:15) Sin, impurity and wickedness are not compatible with holiness and eternal life (6:22).

APPLICATION: Offer yourselves to be under the control of righteousness instead of sin. Choose correctly. Worship God, but be free from sin. Grateful people who have received God's grace and mercy should be even more determined to eradicate sins from their lives.

"For the wages of sin is DEATH, but the free gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord" (6:23).

为了平衡罗马书5章(律法增多了过犯，罪对比了神的恩典)，外族人必须被提醒，不能往另一个方向行。保罗用问题来划分与罗马人有关系的部分。

问题1:“这样，我们可以说什么呢？我们可以常在罪中，叫恩典增多吗？”(罗6:1)。“绝对不可！我们向罪死了的人，怎么可以仍然活在罪中呢？”(罗6:2)

信徒(无论是犹太人或外族人)都进一步地在这些事上合一:-

所有的信徒都“受洗归入基督耶稣”(6:3)。

所有的信徒都“受洗归入他的死”(6:3)。

所有的信徒都“借着洗礼归入死，与他同葬”(6:4)。

所有的信徒“必与他同活”(6:8)。

应用：不要让罪吸引你。“向罪算自己是死的”(6:11)。倒要把自己献给神我们的主人，因为我们是“出死得生的人”(6:13)。

问题2:“那却怎么样呢？我们不在律法之下，而在恩典之下，就可以犯罪吗？绝对不可！”(6:15)。罪、不洁和邪恶与圣洁和永生是不能够兼容的(6:22)。

应用：把自己献上让自己受控于义而不是受控于罪。做出正确的选择。敬拜神，但不犯罪。得到神恩典和怜悯的人更是应当感恩并且更加决心要把罪从生命中除掉。

“因为罪的工价就是死，但　神的恩赏，在我们的主基督耶稣里，却是永生。”(6:23)
