Paul instructed Timothy to devote himself to the reading, preaching and teaching of Scripture (1Tim 4:13). Timothy should also be diligent in exercising his gift (1Tim 4:14-15).

REFLECTION (1): Can I say to others, "Follow my example in purity, lifestyle and faith?"

If you are surrounded by "senior people", do not feel inferior just because you are young. Instead, be an example to others (1Tim 4:12).

REFLECTION (2): If you are considered "senior people", do not neglect excellence in "speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity" (1Tim 4:12).

Give thanks to God if you have someone who can check your spiritual growth and accompany you along the way.

保罗吩咐提摩太专心宣读圣经、劝勉和教导(提前4:13)。提摩太也要认真实行所得的恩赐(提前4:14-15)。

反思(1):我是否可以对他人说，“学习我的榜样，无论是在纯洁上、生活上和信心上？”

如果你周边的人都是“长者”，不要因为自己年纪轻就觉得自卑。相反的，你要做别人的榜样(提前4:12)。

反思(3):如果你是“长者”，不要忽略了在“言语、行为、爱心、信心和纯洁上”(提前4:12)都要追求完美。

如果你有一个关注你的灵命成长并一路相伴的人, 就应当感谢神。
