After writing at length on various comparisons, the writer now comes to the MAIN POINT.

"Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, [2] a minister in the holy places, in the true tent that the Lord set up, not man."

The writer is still persuading the readers not to give up on their faith in Jesus Christ:-

(1) Cling on to Jesus because He serves in the true tabernacle, unlike the tabernacle Moses set up on earth (Heb 8:3-5, Exo 25:40);

(2) Jesus' promises are superior, since the new covenant "is enacted on BETTER promises" (Heb 8:6);

(3) Jesus' ministry fulfills the promise of the new covenant mentioned by the prophet Jeremiah a few hundred years earlier (Jer 31:31-34).

REFLECTION: How close are we living according to Jesus' command to reach the nations so that all people on earth might know and worship Him? How tightly are we living according to God's command to worship Him only?

APPLICATION: Be aware that we must still humbly come before God through Jesus Christ our High Priest today.

写了这么长的各种的比较，作者现在提到重点了。

我们所讲论的重点，就是我们有这样的一位大祭司，他已经坐在众天之上至尊者的宝座右边，在至圣所和真会幕里供职；这真会幕是主设立的，不是人设立的。

作者仍然劝勉读者不要放弃在耶稣基督里的信仰:-

(1) 紧抓住耶稣因为祂在真会幕里供职，这不同于摩西在地上所设立的会幕(来8:3-5,出25:40);

(2) 耶稣的应许是至高无上的，因为这新的约是“凭着更美的应许立的”(来8:6)；

(3) 耶稣的职位实现了几百年前耶利米先知所提到的新约应许(耶31:31-34)。

反思：我们的生活是否遵从耶稣的命令，即把福音传遍万国，使世上所有的人都认识祂并敬拜祂？我们的生活是否严格遵循神只敬拜祂的命令？

应用：注意，今天我们仍需谦卑地透过耶稣基督我们的大祭司来到神面前。
