REJECT: Paul urged the Galatians to reject the requirement of circumcision as a precondition for being "In Christ Jesus" (Gal 5:1-6). If not, the Galatians fall into the danger of being cut off from Christ (Gal 5:4).

ACCEPT: Accept the freedom that comes from faith in Jesus Christ, freedom from "a yoke of slavery" (Gal 5:1). Those who are still under this yoke would face the impossible passing mark: "keep the whole law" (Gal 5:3). Instead, "walk by the Spirit" (Gal 5:16) by doing what the Spirit desires (Gal 5:17).

CHECK: There is a way to check whether you are walking by the Spirit or gratifying "the desires of the flesh" (Gal 5:16). Look at your relationships with those around you (spouse, children, colleagues, friends, church people).

REFLECTION: Are these relationships characterised by (1) "sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,  idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these" (Gal 5:19-21), or (2) "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" (Gal 5:22-23)?

APPLICATION: If the profile of your lives fall into the wrong category (1), ADJUST immediately. Through love serve one another" (Gal 5:13).

拒绝：保罗呼吁加拉太人拒绝以割礼作为“在基督里”的要求(加5:1-6)。如果不这么做，加拉太人就会面临和基督隔绝的危险(加5:4)。

接受：接受来自于信靠耶稣基督的自由，不被“奴役的轭”控制的自由(加5:1)。那些还在这轭之下的将面对那无法过的关：“遵行全部的律法”(加5:3)。相反的，“顺着圣灵行事”(加5:16)，做那圣灵所欲的(加5:17)。

审察：有一个方法可以审察你是否顺着圣灵行事或是“满足肉体的私欲”(加5:16)。看看你和身边的人的关系(配偶、孩子、同事、朋友、教会的人)。

反思：这些关系是否充满着(1)“淫乱、污秽、邪荡、拜偶像、行邪术、仇恨、争竞、忌恨、忿怒、自私、分党、结派、嫉妒、醉酒、荒宴，和类似的事”(加5:19-21)还是充满着(2)“仁爱、喜乐、平安、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔、节制”(加5:22-23)?

应用：如果你的生活面貌陷入错的类别(1)，立刻做出调整。“要凭着爱心互相服事”(加5:13)。
