"Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me." — Ezekiel 3:17 (ESV)

🔍 Reflection:
In Ezekiel 3, God commissions Ezekiel with a heavy but holy assignment—to be a watchman for His people. The imagery is powerful: God causes Ezekiel to "eat the scroll," filling his belly with His words. This act symbolizes the internalising of God's message before it can be proclaimed externally. The scroll is full of "lamentation and mourning and woe," yet it is sweet as honey in Ezekiel’s mouth (cf. Ezek. 2:10–3:3), echoing the paradox that God's truth—even when hard—is good and life-giving.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and like Ezekiel, we are called not just to read it but to internalize it, allowing it to transform us from within before we bring it to the world. The responsibility to speak truth—even when unpopular—is part of faithful witness.

Ezekiel is also warned: if he fails to speak when God commands, the consequences are grave. This underscores the urgency of evangelism—not out of guilt, but out of love and obedience. The call is not to be responsible for people’s responses, but to be faithful in delivering God's message.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, help me to take Your Word seriously, to receive it fully into my heart, and to be bold in speaking truth with love. Give me the courage of Ezekiel, to stand firm even when the message is hard. Let me be a faithful watchman in a world that so desperately needs Your truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

✝️ Takeaway:
God calls His people to be faithful messengers. The Word we carry is weighty but life-giving. Like Ezekiel, we are to speak with courage, trusting God with the results.

反思：
在《以西结书》第 3 章中，上帝委派以西结一项沉重而神圣的任务--为祂的子民守望。这个意象非常有力： 上帝让以西结 "吃书卷"，用他的话填饱肚子。这一举动象征着在对外宣讲之前，先将上帝的信息内化于心。书卷中充满了 "悲叹、哀伤和哀痛"，但在以西结的口中却甜如蜜（参以西结书 2：10-3：3），这与上帝的真理--即使是艰难的真理--也是美好的、赐人生命的真理这一悖论相呼应。

我们相信《圣经》是上帝所默示的话语，就像以西结一样，我们不仅要阅读《圣经》，还要将其内化，让它在我们将其带给世界之前就从内部改变我们。说真话--即使不受欢迎--是忠实见证的一部分。

以西结还受到警告：如果他不按上帝的命令说话，后果将很严重。这强调了传福音的紧迫性--不是出于愧疚，而是出于爱和顺服。我们的呼召不是要对人们的反应负责，而是要忠实地传递神的信息。
