Do we keep God's sovereignty, the power of prayer, and His revelation of truth at the forefront of our thought world each day?

📖 Scripture: Daniel 2:20–22 (ESV)
“Daniel answered and said:
‘Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
    to whom belong wisdom and might.
He changes times and seasons;
    he removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
    and knowledge to those who have understanding;
he reveals deep and hidden things;
    he knows what is in the darkness,
    and the light dwells with him.’”

🔹 Background:

In Daniel 2, King Nebuchadnezzar has a disturbing dream, and he demands not only an interpretation—but that someone tell him the dream itself, without him revealing it. When his wise men fail, Daniel steps forward. But before answering the king, Daniel and his friends urgently seek God in prayer. God reveals the dream and its meaning to Daniel in a vision during the night.

🔹 Reflection:
Daniel 2 is not just about prophecy—it's about the sovereignty of God and the power of dependent prayer.

When everything seemed impossible, Daniel didn't panic—he prayed. In a culture that didn’t know the living God, Daniel boldly declared, “There is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries” (v. 28).

In a world filled with uncertainty, Daniel’s example reminds us: God is in control of history. He raises up kingdoms, and He brings them down. Nations may rise, leaders may fall, but the God of heaven never changes. He is the one who holds time and eternity in His hands.

🔹 Gospel Connection:
The climax of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream was a stone “cut out by no human hand” (v. 34) that shatters all the kingdoms of the world and grows into a mountain that fills the earth. This is a picture of Jesus Christ, the eternal King whose kingdom will never end.

Jesus is the true cornerstone, the One through whom God has revealed His greatest mystery: salvation through the cross and resurrection.

🔹 Application:
(1) Do you turn to God first in crisis—or as a last resort? Like Daniel, let prayer be your first response.

(2) Are you trusting in earthly kingdoms—or in the unshakable Kingdom of Christ? All human empires fall. Christ’s kingdom alone is forever.

(3) Do you believe God still reveals truth? Today, He reveals Himself through His Word and by His Spirit. Seek Him.

🔹 Prayer:
Father, You are the God who reveals mysteries. You are sovereign over all history, and Your wisdom is perfect. Teach us to trust You above all else. Help us to seek You first, as Daniel did. Let Your kingdom come, and Your will be done in our lives, as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🔹 背景：
但以理书第二章记载，尼布甲尼撒王做了一个惊人的梦，他不仅要求解梦，更要求有人在未告知梦境内容的情况下说出梦境本身。当智者们束手无策时，但以理挺身而出。但在向王解答前，但以理与同伴们迫切地祷告寻求神。神当夜借异象向但以理显明了梦境及其含义。

🔹 反思：
但以理书第二章不仅关乎预言——更彰显了神的主权与倚靠祷告的大能。

当万事看似无望时，但以理并未惊惶——他祷告。在不认识永生上帝的文化中，但以理大胆宣告：“只有一位在天上的　神能把一切隐秘的事显明”（第28节）。

在这个充满不确定性的世界里，但以理的榜样提醒我们：上帝掌管着历史。祂兴起国度，也使国度倾覆。列国兴起，君王更迭，但天上的上帝永不改变。祂是掌管时间与永恒的主宰。

🔹 福音关联：
尼布甲尼撒梦境的高潮，是那块“非人手凿成的石头”（第34节）击碎世上诸国，并长成充满全地的山。这预表耶稣基督——永恒君王，祂的国度永无终结。

耶稣是真正的房角石，借着祂，神揭示了至大的奥秘：十字架与复活带来的救恩。

🔹 应用：
(1) 危难时你是否首先转向神——还是将祂当作最后的救命稻草？效法但以理，让祷告成为你的第一反应。

(2) 你信靠的是尘世国度——还是基督那永不摇动的国度？世上帝国终将倾覆，唯基督的国度永存。

(3) 你是否相信神仍在启示真理？今日祂借着圣言与圣灵启示自己。寻求祂吧。

🔹 祷告：
天父，祢是启示奥秘的神。祢掌管万世，智慧至全。求教导我们以祢为至高所信。助我们效法但以理，先寻求祢。愿祢的国降临，愿祢的旨意行在我们生命中，如同行在天上。奉耶稣的名求，阿们。
