Why go back to the OLD ORDER of things when you have the better and superior NEW ORDER in Jesus Christ now?

The older order had an earthly sanctuary set up using materials (Heb 9:1-5), the COPY. The new order has the perfect tabernacle not made with human hands nor a part of this creation (Heb 9:11).

The old had a high priest who brought animal blood into the Most Holy Place (the inner room, Heb 9:7). The new order has The High Priest (Jesus Christ) who entered "into heaven itself" (Heb 9:24).

The old order sacrifices have to be performed while entering the Most Holy Place, once a year, year after year. But the new order has Christ, whose sacrifice was "once to bear the sins of many" (Heb 9:28) and "once for all" (Heb 9:26).

REFLECTION: Do you belong to the group of people "who are waiting for him" (Heb 9:28) more than waiting for anything else?

APPLICATION: Fix your eyes on Jesus and do not waiver, whether or not it brings you good news of health and wealth. May it be that Christ "will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him" (Heb 9:28).

为什么要回去事情的旧模式，你现在不是已经在耶稣基督里有了更好更优越的新模式了吗？

旧的模式有个属世设立的圣所，是用各种材料建成的(来9:1-5), 那是仿造的。这新模式有着完美的会幕，不是人手所造的也不属这被造的世界的一部分(来9:11)。

旧的模式，大祭司必须带着牲畜的血进入至圣所(内室，来9:7)。新模式下，大祭司(耶稣基督)是直接进到“天上”(来9:24)。

旧模式的献祭是在进入至圣所时做的，一年一次，年复一年。但是，新模式有基督，他的献祭是“一次担当许多人的罪”(来9:28)而且是“只显现一次，把自己作为祭品献上”(来9:26)。

反思：你是属于那群在“热切期待他”(来9:28)多过于期待其他任何东西的人吗？

应用：定睛在耶稣身上，不要动摇，无论你是否健康或富裕。愿基督“再一次显现，不是为担当罪，而是要向那些热切期待他的人成全救恩”(来9:28)。
