“And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him.”
🧠 Focus Thought
In a world of instability, Daniel 7 reminds us: kingdoms rise and fall, but Christ reigns forever.
🔍 Summary of Daniel 7
Daniel 7 contains one of the most powerful prophetic visions in the Bible. Daniel sees four beasts rising out of the sea—symbolizing four successive world empires. These beasts are chaotic, violent, and arrogant.
But then the scene shifts from earth to heaven. Daniel sees the Ancient of Days (God the Father) seated in majesty. Before Him stands “one like a son of man” (Jesus Christ), who is given an everlasting kingdom.
This vision unveils the sovereignty of God, the certainty of Christ’s rule, and the hope of the saints.
✝️ Devotional Points
(1) Earthly Kingdoms Are Temporary
“Four great beasts came up out of the sea…” — Daniel 7:3
Each beast represents a human empire—powerful, yes, but also distorted and fleeting. Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome—all once mighty, now history.
🔔 Application:
Don’t put your trust in nations, politics, or personal power. All of it fades. Only God’s kingdom remains.
🙏 Lord, help me to live for what is eternal, not temporary.
(2) God Is on the Throne
“The Ancient of Days took his seat… his throne was fiery flames…” — Daniel 7:9
In contrast to the beasts, God is calm, holy, and in total control. He is not panicking—He is judging.
🕊️ Application:
When the world feels out of control, remember that God is still seated. He is not reacting—He is ruling.
🙏 Father, give me peace in Your sovereignty when the world feels unstable.
(3) Jesus Is the Son of Man
“With the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man…” — Daniel 7:13
This is one of the clearest Old Testament prophecies about Jesus. He used the title “Son of Man” over 80 times in the Gospels—pointing directly to this passage. He is both human and divine, and He alone is worthy to receive glory, dominion, and an everlasting kingdom.

Jesus is not just your Saviour—He is your King. Does your life reflect His lordship?
🙏 Jesus, You are my King. Rule over my heart, my home, and my habits.
(4) The Saints Will Inherit the Kingdom
“The saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever...” — Daniel 7:18
This isn’t just about the distant future—it's about your identity now. If you are in Christ, you are part of His eternal kingdom. Suffering may come, but victory is certain.
🛡️ Application:
Walk in the dignity of a child of the King. You may face trials, but you are part of an unshakable kingdom (Hebrews 12:28).
🙏 Lord, strengthen me to endure with hope, knowing I belong to Your eternal kingdom.

(1) 世俗国度终将消逝

(2) 神坐在宝座上
“我一直在观看，看见有些宝座安放好了，万古常存者就坐上去；他的衣服洁白如雪，他的头发纯净像羊毛。他的宝座是火焰，宝座的轮子是烈火。”——但以理书7:9
与野兽不同，上帝沉静、圣洁且掌控一切。祂并非惊惶失措——祂正在施行审判。

当世界失控时，请记住上帝依然稳坐宝座。祂并非被动反应——祂正在掌权。

(3) 耶稣是人子
“我在夜间的异象中继续观看，看见有一位像人子的，驾着天云而来，到万古常存者那里，被引领到他面前，——但以理书7:13
