We focus on God as the True Shepherd, spiritual leadership, and the promise of Christ. Yet everyone of you who are guiding students, children, nieces and nephews, or anyone whom have asked you for advice, or anyone whom you might just have a say in bringing them nearer to God, is a “shepherd” of one kind or another. Having said that, all of us have “shepherds”, whether intentionally and by design, or unintentionally! Who are you really following?
📜 Scripture Focus:
“I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord GOD.” — Ezekiel 34:15, ESV
🔍 Background:
Ezekiel 34 is a powerful rebuke against the false shepherds of Israel—leaders who were supposed to care for God's people but instead used, neglected, and scattered them. In contrast, God promises to personally step in as the true Shepherd, to seek, rescue, feed, and protect His sheep.
This chapter is more than just historical correction—it’s a messianic promise, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd (John 10:11).
🔥 Reflection:
God is not indifferent to spiritual abuse or neglect. In Ezekiel 34, He confronts corrupt leadership with sobering words:
“The weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed...with force and harshness you have ruled them.”
— Ezekiel 34:4, ESV
But in their failure, God reveals His heart:
“Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out.”
— Ezekiel 34:11, ESV
This is the Gospel in the Old Testament. God doesn’t leave His people wandering or wounded. He says: “I myself will be their shepherd.”
Jesus fulfilled this when He said: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” — John 10:11, ESV
Where others failed, Jesus steps in. He seeks the lost, binds the broken, and gathers His flock into one fold. He doesn’t just correct bad leadership—He becomes the perfect leader, the servant-shepherd who gives His life for His sheep.
🧭 Application:
(1) Do you know the voice of the Good Shepherd?
In a world full of false guides, make sure you're listening to Jesus, not the noise.
(2) Have you been hurt by bad leadership or neglected in your faith?
God sees. He knows. He has stepped in through Christ to be your Shepherd and your refuge.
(3) Are you leading others with the heart of Christ?
Whether you're a parent, pastor, teacher, or a guide of some kind to others — model the Good Shepherd: protect, feed, heal, and serve.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, thank You that when others failed, You did not. You came as the Good Shepherd, seeking and saving the lost — including me. Heal what is broken in me, lead me to still waters, and help me follow Your voice. Teach me to lead others with Your heart — with gentleness, truth, and love. Amen.
💡 Key Takeaway:
God doesn’t abandon His flock. Where others fail, Jesus, the Good Shepherd, faithfully steps in.

以西结书34是对以色列假牧人的有力责备——那些本应照顾上帝子民的领袖，却利用、忽视并分散了他们。相比之下，上帝应许亲自作为真正的牧者介入，寻找、拯救、喂养并保护他的羊群。
这一章不仅是历史纠正，更是弥赛亚应许，在耶稣基督——我们的好牧人（约翰福音10:11）身上得以实现。
🔥 反思：
上帝对属灵的虐待或忽视绝不漠不关心。在以西结书34章中，祂用严厉的话语指责腐败的领导：
“瘦弱的，你们没有养壮；患病的，你们没有医治；受伤的，你们没有包扎；被赶散的，你们没有领回；迷失的，你们没有寻找；你们反而用强暴严严地管辖它们。”——以西结书34:4
但他们在失败中，上帝显明了祂的心意：
“‘因为主耶和华这样说：看哪！我必亲自寻觅我的羊，把它们找出来。——以西结书34:11
这就是旧约中的福音。上帝不会让祂的子民流离失所或受伤。祂说：“我必亲自作他们的牧人。”耶稣在说这话时成就了这一点：“我是好牧人。好牧人为羊舍命。”——约翰福音10:11。
在他人失败之处，耶稣介入。祂寻找失丧的，医治受伤的，并将祂的羊群聚集到一个羊圈里。祂不仅纠正不良领导——祂成为完美的领导者，那位为羊舍命的仆人牧人。
🧭 应用：
(1) 你是否听见良善牧者的声音？
在充满假先知的世界里，确保你听的是耶稣，而非喧嚣。
(2) 你是否因不良领导而受伤，或在信仰中被忽视？
上帝看见了。祂知道。祂已借着基督成为你的牧者与避难所。
(3) 你是否以基督的心肠带领他人？
无论你是父母、牧师、教师，还是以某种方式引导他人的人——效法好牧人：保护、喂养、医治、服侍。
🙏 祷告：
主啊，感谢您在他人失败时并未离弃我。您以良善牧者的身份降临，寻找并拯救失丧者——包括我。医治我内心的破碎，引领我到安静的水边，帮助我跟随您的声音。教导我以您的心肠带领他人——以温柔、真理与爱。阿们。
