MEDITATION: Reading Ezekiel 41 might have tested your patience. It described in detail the PATIENCE of the LORD in revising the things taught to His people.

Exodus 25-40 and 1Kings 5-8 contain much material regarding the temple. Speaking to people on the road to recovery, it's back to the basics—who was Lord and who was not?

In the Ancient Near East (other than Israel), it was human beings who designed and built the temple for their gods. But in Ezek 40-48, it was the LORD who INTRODUCED Ezekiel and his contemporaries to the "new temple" that the LORD had in mind. The LORD took the initiative to reach out to mankind, again.

The Most Holy Place (Ezek 41:4) and the Holy Place (Ezek 41:21,23) reminded them of the need to have that distance of REVERENCE when approaching the LORD. Sin and holiness were not compatible.

The numerous "doors" mentioned in the temple (Ezek 41:11,17,20,21,23-25) reminded them of the ACCESSIBILITY of the LORD's mercy. He allowed sinful people to approach Him through the doors, subject to His terms, of course.

APPLICATION: Approach the LORD in reverence, holiness and humility. Acknowledge Him as designer of salvation and thank Him for His mercy. Respond sincerely.

在古代近东（以色列除外），是人类设计并为他们的神建造殿宇。但在以西结40-48,是耶和华介绍以西结和他的同辈祂理想中的“新殿”。耶和华又再次主动接近人类。

至圣所(结41:4)和外殿(结41:21,23)提醒他们在接近耶和华的时候要保持敬畏的距离。圣洁与罪恶从来都是不相容的。

那几道在圣殿的“门”(结41:11,17,21,23-25)提醒了他们耶和华的慈爱是可以实现的。祂允许罪人通过那几道门来到祂面前，当然，那是得按着祂的条件的。

应用：以敬畏、圣洁和谦卑来到神面前。承认祂是救恩的设计师并感恩祂的怜悯。以真诚来回应。
