The tension is clear. In Gospel of Luke 22:57, Peter the Apostle denies Jesus out of fear, in the shadow of arrest and possible execution. By the time we reach Acts of the Apostles 4, that same man stands in front of authorities and speaks with clarity and courage. That kind of reversal demands an explanation deeper than “he became braver.”

The turning point is the resurrection—not as an idea, but as an encounter. Peter didn’t just hear that Jesus rose; he saw the risen Christ. That matters because fear of death is the root beneath his earlier denial. When death is no longer ultimate, fear loses its leverage.  Following a Master who overcame death reorders reality itself.

But Acts gives us an additional layer. The boldness in Acts 4 is not just post-resurrection confidence; it is Spirit-empowered witness. Between Luke 22 and Acts 4 stands Pentecost (Acts 2), where the Holy Spirit fills the disciples. So the transformation is not merely psychological (“I feel braver now”) but theological and experiential:

If the same power that transformed Peter the Apostle is at work today, it will leave visible marks. In Acts of the Apostles, resurrection experience isn’t hidden—it spills out. Here are a few evidences you can actually examine in your own life:

(1) Clarity about Jesus (not just belief, but conviction)

Peter moves from confusion to certainty: “there is salvation in no one else” (Acts 4:12).
A resurrection-shaped life doesn’t treat Jesus as optional or one truth among many. There’s a settled confidence—not arrogance, but anchored clarity.

(2) Courage in pressure

In Gospel of Luke 22, fear of people silences Peter. In Acts 4, threats don’t.
This doesn’t mean personality boldness—it means you speak or stand when it costs something: reputation, comfort, opportunity.

(3) A redefined view of risk and security

If Jesus truly conquered death, then the worst-case scenario has already been overturned.
That shifts decision-making. You stop asking, “Is this safe?” and start asking, “Is this faithful?”

(4) A prayer life that asks for boldness—not escape

Notice they don’t pray, “Lord, remove the opposition,” but “grant your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness” (Acts 4:29). That’s a diagnostic question: when pressure comes, do your prayers aim at comfort or faithfulness?

(5) Open-handed generosity

Their theology in Psalm 2 (Jesus is King) leads to economics in Acts 4 (resources are shared). If Jesus reigns, ownership loosens. Giving becomes natural, not forced.

彼得从困惑走向确信:“除他以外,别无拯救”(使徒行传 4:12)。一个由复活塑造的生命,不会把耶稣视为可有可无的选择,或众多真理中的一种。其中有一种坚定不移的信心——不是傲慢,而是扎根于磐石的清晰。

(2) 压力中的勇气

在《路加福音》22章中,对人的惧怕使彼得噤声。而在《使徒行传》4章中,威胁却无法使他沉默。这并非指性格上的大胆——而是指当发声或站立需要付出代价时,你依然如此:无论是声誉、安逸,还是机遇。

(3) 对风险与安全的重新定义

若耶稣确实战胜了死亡,那么最坏的情况早已被颠覆。这改变了决策的基准。你不再问:“这安全吗?”而是开始问:“这合乎信德吗?”

(4) 祈求胆量而非逃避的祷告生活

请注意,他们没有祷告说:“主啊,除去这反对”,而是说:“求你使你的仆人放胆传讲你的道”(使徒行传4:29)。这是一个诊断性的问题:当压力来临时,你的祷告是追求安逸,还是追求忠心?
